Read this before you scale your Google Ads budget

Stop testing new strategies. Fix this first

Whenever I shared a new, advanced strategy, I found myself in a tricky situation.

I know these strategies work. I know they can generate serious profits for brands.

But they also demand substantial technical setup… along with a rock-solid foundation first.

And I can’t cover the strategy… plus all the basics in one social media post or one YouTube video.

Here’s the thing…

A lot of brands came to us looking to launch new initiatives.

They wanted to test new channels, roll out advanced strategies, expand internationally.

All good ideas in theory.

Just not what their accounts needed at that moment.

Because under the hood, their existing campaigns were bleeding money.

$500 spent on placements with no buying intent.

$12,000 wasted on unprofitable products.

A search campaign returning 1.5X ROAS when it should've been doing 2.5X.

None of these issues kills you instantly.

But they stack up.

And at scale, they're the difference between a profitable account and one that barely breaks even.

Because the more you scale, the messier your account becomes.

At $10K/month, you might have 4-6 campaigns to monitor.

At $100K/month? You're managing 15-20+ campaigns, dozens of ad groups, and hundreds of keywords.

More campaigns mean more places for waste to hide.

When that complexity piles up, small leaks start appearing everywhere.

This is why we approach every account the same way:

1. Optimize existing campaigns to extract maximum ROI
2. Identify and eliminate every source of wasted spend
3. Set up monitoring automations to catch new issues before they compound

Every campaign gets paired with constant ”tuning” to make it pull its full weight.

Google Ads requires playing 2 games at once:

Test new opportunities. And sharpen what you have running.

The first game gives you the potential for more profit.

The second game is where you cash in on that potential.
