How we ranked #1 on hyper-competitive searches like “women’s dress”
It’s not that complicated...

It’s never been easier to profit from Shopping Ads… but it’s also never been trickier.
You're up against more competitors than ever, and ad costs have climbed steadily over the past few years.
That’s the bad news.
The good news is that this is a huge opportunity if you know how to run it right.
We’ve helped our clients rank #1 for hyper-competitive searches like "women's dress," "creatine," or "collagen."

And honestly, we don’t need to use any secret tactic to make it happen.
We just understand Google’s ranking system at a deeper level and execute the fundamentals with more details than competitors.
Unlike common practices, the first step isn’t jumping straight to feed optimization or campaign setup.
It’s identifying which searches you want to claim the top spots.
Those will become your north star for everything.
Think about it like this.
Say you sell standing desks.
Your product could show up for “ergonomic desk for back pain” and “home office equipment for productivity.”
If you haven't decided which one you're going after, how can you possibly optimize for it?
How will you know which keywords to put in your title?
Or which angle to use on your landing page?
(I'll explain this more in a minute.)
I’ve seen people make this mistake a lot.
They skip the research phase entirely… and then wonder why their ads don’t show up for valuable terms (let alone ranking at the top for them)
Now, there is a way to optimize your ads for multiple search angles at once.
But that's an advanced strategy… and I’ll save it fpr another email.
For today, start with your core keywords and optimize for those first.
This should come from your keyword research and product positioning.
Once you've got that figured out, everything else flows from there.
You see, Google looks at a few factors when deciding where to rank your ads.
It's like a scoreboard where every ad gets a score.
The ones with the best score, combined with competitive bids, end up at the top.
That score breaks down into 3 components:
Component 1: How relevant your ad is to what people searched for.
Component 2: How likely people are to click your ads
Component 3: Your landing page experience
All of these components connect to the search terms you're targeting.
And you boost them by aligning your funnel with the buyer’s intent.
Start by optimizing your product feed:
Pack your titles with the exact terms buyers are typing in
Use high-quality images that show your product positioning
Fill in all relevant attributes like gender, age group, etc.
Then optimize your merchant center factors to lift your click-through rate.
Shipping
Return
Browsing
Purchase
Promotions (an evergreen offer, like a first-time buyer discount or email signup deal, works great)
Product reviews & seller ratings
(Go to 'Store Quality' and you’ll see where you're falling short and what needs fixing).
Finally, tailor your landing page to match that specific search angle.
The key is to show Google your product is the best match for what users are looking for.
Play by their rules, and they'll reward you with higher rankings.
That's the high-level view of what it takes to rank in Shopping Ads.
I've broken down all the technical details in this YouTube video, where I walk you through exactly what you need to do step by step.
Or if you'd rather have us help you show up for valuable searches and claim those top spots...
