Today’s topic:

Stealing your competitors' traffic on BFCM

No, I'm not talking about anything black hat or illegal here.

The idea of this strategy is very simple:

Put your products in front of your competitor’s audience and let them decide who they want to buy from.

It’s a useful strategy to use overall.

But it becomes incredibly powerful during a heated sales period like BFCM.

Your competitors might run out of stock.

They might skip BFCM deals on certain products.

But their audiences are in need of a product that’s similar to yours.

This is your chance to come in and capture that piece of the market.

Here’s the problem:

Running a successful competitor campaign isn’t easy.

Most of the traffic is already leaning toward a specific brand.

So they’re less likely to click your link.

The key to making it work is to take advantage of where your competitors fall short.

Spot their weaknesses and turn them into your strengths.

Better deals. Faster shipping. Products they’re out of stock on.

Go for keywords where people have doubts about your competitor’s brand (like competitor name + “reviews”)

Create dedicated landing pages that show why your product is the superior choice.

And remember…

Competitor campaigns aren’t about bashing the competition.

It’s not about making them look bad.

It’s about offering people a better alternative to meet their needs.

Approach this with the mindset of: “I’m offering potential customers the best option available.”

Give them what they want and they’ll give what you want.
