Landing pages are probably one of the most underrated levers in Google Ads right now.
I know most brands are running them.
But they don’t get anywhere near the attention that bidding strategies or creative testing get.
At least not compared to how much money they can make or lose.
We’ve looked at a lot of Google Ads accounts this year, and it’s rare to see a brand fully optimized here.
They either send traffic to generic product pages and watch it bounce…
Or they only make small tweaks and miss out on the bigger gains.
(Usually it’s a combination of both.)
But when the post-click experience is built properly, you can dramatically lift ROAS without changing your ads or budget.
We’ve seen a single landing page change take a client from 0.73 ROAS to 1.41 ROAS.
And what I like most about strong landing pages is that…
They directly fix what happens after the click.
That’s something most ad-side optimizations simply can’t do.
You can watch people drop off in session recordings and heatmaps.
You can see exactly where Google Ads visitors get stuck.
You can spot broken mobile experiences or messaging mismatches.
But the issue is this is incredibly hard and time consuming to do.
It takes a long time to take the scattered data and turn it into fast fixes you can implement and change today.
It’s why I wanted to share this with you today.
Heatmap just released their MCP.
So instead of digging through dashboards, you can just ask:
Why did conversions drop on this page?
Where are my Google Ads visitors getting stuck?
What should we test next to lift ROAS?
And you get clear, data-backed answers and recommendations in minutes.
