Turn this setting off asap

There's a hidden setting in your ad campaigns that's probably costing you money—Auto-Apply Recommendations.

And for those that aren’t familiar:

It's a feature that automatically implements changes to your campaigns without your approval.

It sounds handy and to be honest, Google ads reps do a good job of pushing these automated features.

But it’s a trap.

Because most automatic tweaks might not align with your strategy.

They can lead to unwanted adjustments that burn through your limited budget.

And this is great for Google.

You spend more money. You lose control.

I’ve scaled and exited my own brands and I know as an eCommerce brand owner every dollar counts.

You need tight control over your campaigns, not surprises.

So, what can you do?

Simple: Turn off Auto-Apply Recommendations.

Here's how:

  1. Log into your ad account.

  2. Navigate to the "Recommendations" tab.

  3. Find the "Auto-Apply Recommendations" setting.

  4. Disable it.

From now on, review any recommendations manually.

Only implement changes that fit your specific goals.

Don't let an algorithm decide how to spend your hard-earned money.

If you haven’t seen it, Filippo and I, actually break this down in a video where we cover eighter other settings.

See you in the next one
