What metrics to focus on if you run Google Ads?

Do clicks, impressions or CTR even matter?

Ever feel overwhelmed when running Google Ads?

All those metrics staring at you…

Clicks, impressions, CTR…

It’s enough to make your head spin.

But if you’re worried about keeping up with those numbers…

Let me tell you this.

They’re not the end-all, be-all of your ad success.

Sure, these metrics are good to keep an eye on.

They help pinpoint issues when something’s off.

But here’s the thing:

If your goal is to drive revenue and grow your brand…

The only thing that truly matters is money-in, money-out.

Having a lot of clicks or a high conversion rate might look impressive…

But what good is that if it’s not converting into actual sales?

You could have a thousand clicks on your ad…

But if none of those clicks are turning into paying customers, you’re just burning money.

Instead, focus on what really counts.

For every dollar you put into Google Ads…How much are you getting back in sales?

How much profit are you making?

Simply put, it’s your

ROAS.

There’s a caveat to this though.

Not all ROAS is equal.

It depends on the context too.

The reason I say this is because ROAS for branded terms ≠ to ROAS for prospecting.

Too high a tROAS in your campaigns and Google can’t optimize properly.

Too low, and you miss out on potential profits.

Should I do another break down on this?

Reply to this email if you think so.

Long story short…

Don’t get caught up in vanity metrics.

Clicks, impressions, and CTR are useful…

But they’re just a means to an end.

Remember this:

The ultimate success of your Google Ads campaign is determined by your ROI.

If your ads are bringing in more money than you’re spending, you’re on the right track.

It’s that simple.

Keep your eye on the prize.

That’s the only metric that truly matters.
