Messages like this make my day
A recent message I received from a client

I got this Slack message last week from Chris - a brand owner we just onboarded.
Not a our biggest number.
But it’s always nice to see we’re off to a strong start.
And most importantly, a happy client.
If you run Google Ads, you know that getting started is the hardest part.
There’s no data to guide your campaigns.
And Google doesn’t have the data it needs to send your ads to the right audience.
Here’s the thing…
It takes a while to get decent sales at first.
It’s slow in the beginning.
But as sales start coming in…
You get more insights to optimize your ads…
Google collects more data to serve your ads to the right audience…
Making sales just gets easier and easier over time.
And suddenly, scaling Google Ads takes a lot less time and effort.
That’s why getting those early wins is so important.
Because they set the stage to the big wins.
They give you a benchmark for future campaigns.
They provide the foundation to capture the traffic you haven’t reached.
They open the door to expanding onto other platforms.
And they signal to Google to push your products even more.
It’s a constant flywheel.
So how did we get the quick wins for this brand?
We focused on the easiest-to-convert traffic.
1. People already close to buying
2. People familiar with the brand
We used our experience and what we’ve learned from other brands to set up the campaigns.
And right away, we saw the dashboard go up.
The next step?
Keep refining the current strategy.
Then slowly expand and capture the audience we haven’t targeted.
Non-brand traffic. TOF traffic. Other acquisition channels.
The lesson here?
Go after the quick wins first.
They might not immediately bring in 6, 7 figures per month for your brand.
But they’ll set the foundation for the campaigns that will.
