How a brand nearly 3x their revenue in 1 month in a saturated niche
Our partner had their best month ever

One of our partners just had their best month ever with Google Ads.
The revenue spike was impressive.
But what stood out to us was that every other metric hit the “green” zone–—clear signs of improvement across the board.
Especially profitability.
They went from a 3X to a 4X ROAS and cut CPA by 20%...
In a “saturated” niche in the health space where most brands battle just to stay profitable…
And with plenty of room to scale even further.
Here are 3 lessons from their journey:
1. Spend more to make more
If you’re seeing signals that it’s time to scale—don’t hold back.
In January, we nearly doubled their ad spend.
At first, ROAS dipped slightly.
But as more conversions rolled in, the algorithm got smarter.
The campaigns became more efficient.
We paired that with constant testing and optimization.
By the end of the month, ROAS climbed from 3X to 4X.
2. If something’s working, double down on it
When you scale, you have two paths.
You can explore—testing new ideas to find untapped growth.
Or you can exploit—doubling down on what already works.
At Echelonn, we do both. But our focus isn’t split equally.
Roughly 10–20% of the budget goes into testing new angles.
We use the rest to extract every bit of value from the proven winners.
For this brand, Shopping was their top-performing prospecting channel.
So we leaned into it.
We pushed the daily spend up throughout the month.
We optimized the product feed based on the data we got.
We added product duplicates to expand our reach on the Shopping network.
We’ll keep testing and optimizing other campaigns…
But until we find another winner, Shopping remains our best bet for prospecting.
3. Make less so the algorithm can do more
A big lift in our revenue came from branded campaigns.
One single change made it happen.
Previously, we ran 4 separate branded campaigns for the US, UK, Ireland, and Australia.
That gave us full control over bids and budgets for each country.
Sounds handy, but there was a problem.
Each campaign had too little conversion data for the algorithm to optimize properly.
So we merged them into a single campaign.
Now, all that data flows into one place.
With more data, the algorithm learned faster and optimized for better results.
There are trade-offs.
But from the data, it’s clear that the pros far outweigh the cons.
When it comes to campaign structure, you’re always balancing two things:
More campaigns = more control, but less data.
Fewer campaigns = faster learning, but less flexibility.
We follow a simple rule, borrowed from Einstein:
“Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler.”
If your account has 30 campaigns, and you can get the same (or better) results with 20—choose the 20.
Of course, there’s no magic formula for that exact number.
Just like for this brand, you’ll need to test, adjust, and make decisions based on the data.
It’s a hard, never-ending process because as you grow, you’ll keep adding new campaigns.
But if you’re looking for the best results, this is the way.
These 3 lessons helped this brand hit their record month.
And we’ve used the same playbook to help over 200 other brands turn Google Ads into a reliable, profitable revenue engine.
