The cure for a dead Google Ads account

I love sharing our top clients’ wins – those seven-figure months and 15X ROAS stories.
But I gotta be honest...
Not every brand we work with hits those insane numbers right out of the gate.
The reality is…
The definition of “good” in Google Ads depends on many factors.
And it’s different for every brand.
For smaller brands with limited brand awareness, getting their ads profitable with healthy margins is already a success.
And if you’re unprofitable right now?
The goal shouldn’t be to chase those sky-high ROAS or some arbitrary “industry standard”.
The priority is to get your account breathing again.
Once it gets going, you can expand and scale into more profitable territory.
Let me share a quick story from one of our partners.
When they first came to us, they were overspending on campaigns that weren’t working.
Once we spotted the leaks, fixing them was straightforward.
And soon after, the momentum shifted.
We kept their CPA the same.
But as you can see, the number of sales they were getting increased.
They’re now killing it this q4.
One question keeps coming up from brands we talk to:
“How do you revive a dead Google Ads account?”
Here’s my advice if you’re in that tough spot:
Focus on consistent, small improvements.
If your ROI isn’t where it needs to be, you’ve got leaks in your account that are quietly burning your budget.
Don’t pump up the spend until you fix those holes first.
Scaling a broken system only amplifies the problem.
