One of the core principles of combat that I vibe with:

“Every attack should be preceded by some form of prior advantage that makes the attack more likely to succeed.”

What this basically means is…

In a boxing match, you don't just knock out your opponent out of nowhere.

You start with the “invisible wins”

You hit a few jabs, gain small advantages, and slowly set yourself up for that final blow.

I think it perfectly applies to Google Ads.

If you want to profit, you can’t just jump in, run a few ads, and hope for a miracle.

Many businesses approach Google Ads as if they’re going to win the game with a single, knockout campaign.

They set up ads, turn on some automated settings, and expect instant conversions.

They’re throwing punches everywhere, hoping one connects.

But that’s a losing game.

Google Ads success is built through a series of small wins and accumulated advantages over time:

1. Set a clear goal and strategy from day 1

2. Create offers that buyers want

3. Make sure your conversion tracking is accurate

4. Segment and structure your campaigns smartly

5. Find the desire that hits with your audience

6. Look for that gap in the market no one else sees

7. Seek keywords with high intent

8. Optimize your landing page

These small wins don’t win you the battle.

They don’t directly get you the sales.

But they’re gonna lay the groundwork for the real win.

So that when you start running those ads and everything is dialed in…

Success becomes inevitable.

That’s why I always say:

Google Ads isn’t just about the ads.

It’s about optimizing everything around the ads so that the ads can work.

It’s a slow game.

But Google rewards brands that are willing to play the long game.
