The difference between good and great ads

A lesson I learned from my recent Poland trip

I was in Poland last week to meet up with the team.

Beautiful country. Delicious food. Friendly people.

I had a lot of fun during that trip.

I’m surprised not many people talk about Poland.

It’s definitely an underrated country.

I had an interesting conversation with the team while there.

We were talking about the difference between a good and a great agency.

And I think the same principle applies perfectly to Google Ads.

After 4 years in the agency space, I’ve seen a lot of agencies rise and fall.

Lots of people fall off even though they were making hella bread a year prior.

Some small agencies slowly become top dogs in their niche.

The common theme in all successful agencies?

Constant, incremental improvement.

Business is a game of stacking.

You find what works and double down on it.

it’s just your business getting better in every aspect - fulfillment, hiring, acquisition, etc

Every improvement shows up in the dashboard.

In the past, I’ve been distracted by different ventures.

Info-products. New offers. New services.

But I quickly realized I was focusing on the wrong thing.

Now, it's all about one thing - Google Ads.

And we’re aiming to be the best agency in the space for eCom brands.

This applies perfectly to good ads.

When I talk about the difference between good and great ads, people often think it's some hidden secret or fancy tactic.

But it's simpler than that:

They do the fundamentals exceptionally well.

Daily analyzing, daily testing, daily optimizations.

Great is just good done repeatedly.

For brands working with us, we understand it’s not about hacking the system.

Google rewards those who play its game.

We follow the rules and just try to play the game better than the competition in every area.

We stack optimizations on top of optimizations.

Better ads. Better copy. Better targeting. Etc

That’s what turns a good ad account into a great one.

That’s what turns an account making decent sales into a cash-printing machine.
